Dear Friends of Wine Experience, It is with mixed emotions that we bid you farewell. After much reflection, Rita and I have reached the difficult decision to close the doors of Wine Experience & World Cellar this summer. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout the years. The memories we've shared and the relationships we've built mean the world to us. Looking back, we're filled with pride at the countless unforgettable moments we've brought to Aurora. From special occasion dinners to over four hundred wine tastings, wine dinners and live music events, it's been an incredible journey. Moreover, we've been privileged to support our community through philanthropic endeavors, raising funds for local schools, the Aurora Symphony, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, and many others. But perhaps what fills us with the greatest pride is the opportunity we've had to mentor and shape the lives of our young employees, many of whom started with us during their high school years. It's heartwarming to see them thrive in diverse fields, from architecture to nursing, from sommelier to military service. As we reflect on our time at Wine Experience, we feel compelled to share some of the reasons behind our decision. Despite weathering economic challenges like the recession and the COVID-19 pandemic, sustaining operations has become increasingly difficult. The combination of substantial staffing requirements for our top-notch menu and the escalating costs exacerbated by the pandemic's unemployment benefits and inflation, along with the impact of corporate competition on our World Cellar sales, has made it untenable to continue. While closing this chapter is bittersweet, we take solace in knowing that the memories we've shared with you will endure. We hope that Wine Experience & World Cellar will remain in your hearts as deeply as they do in ours. We believe the best way to conclude our journey is by celebrating the remarkable achievements we've made together. Over the next three months, we invite you to join us for our final live music events, wine dinners, and to savor our fantastic regular menu. Let's bid adieu in style, together.
